Interview and addenda (2 leaves) with Randi (Arntzen) Olsen, widow of Peter C. (Peter Christian) Olsen concerning his parents, Iver and Helena Olsen, who settled at Owego, Richland County, N.D. in 1882, later moved to near Oakes, N.D. where they died in 1937. Iver worked briefly for Oliver Dalrymple. Also mentions Peter's career with the U.S. Railway Mail Service, their daughter, Isabelle (Olsen) Thompson, a teacher at Concordia College. Another interview (1 leaf) with Theodore Geister, is included, it mentions his work as a miller in Germany and in Wahpeton, N.D. where he moved in 1883. Also included is an electrostatic copy of Iver Olsen's land patent, share certificate for the Hample-Crete Telephone Co. (Hample, N.D.), a Lutheran Hospital Association (Fargo, N.D.) share certificate (corner missing), and newspaper clippings.

Born at Tjotta, Norway, son of Iver and Helena Olsen. The family immigrated to Richland County, N.D., later moved to Dickey County and homesteaded near Oakes, N.D. He worked for the U.S. Railway Mail Service from 1903 to 1936. Wed Randi Arntzen, daughter of Anna A. (Ingebrigtsen) and Niels B. Arntzen, at Forman, N.D.
